Darragh is a Technical Lead in the production department, based in Glasgow.
What do you love most about working at EBX?

Tell us a bit about your role, what does a typical day look like?
Production is an extremely fast paced department; a typical day includes ensuring production equipment/materials adhere with cGMP requirements. Assisting the quality department with ongoing investigations and root cause analysis. Carrying out daily inspections of the facility to ensure that all operating specifications are being adhered to. Assisting facilities with qualification and commissioning of equipment and services. On processing days, we can be found on the front line (cleanroom) producing GMP batch material for clinical trials.
What keeps you productive?
All the above! Production office never gets too quiet, can always interact with different departments to give them a hand when needed.
Tell us something about working at EBX that people might not expect?
Everyday throws a new challenge at you! A lot can happen in just a few hours in EBX, so you are constantly managing/troubleshooting different problems/challenges that arise throughout any given day.
How have you developed your skills through your time here?
I have massively developed my skills since joining EBX and I have gained invaluable knowledge into GMP and what is required to maintain the high standards set by the authorities. Learning from multiple different senior members of staff at EBX has been a hugely satisfying. Assisting in cross functional teams developing processes and procedures that are now being used for clinical trials.
How would you describe your work in one word?
Rewarding.
What’s your favourite memory of your time at EBX?
Producing the first set of capsules during our initial trial work in early 2022. A lot of work and time had gone into establishing a first in class process, so it was extremely satisfying to be a part of the team that successfully produced the first EBX capsules. It was a nice feeling.
